Resource Storage Cabinet
The
Resource Storage Cabinet is storage item that consolidates common crafting/end-game resources into internal stored totals. Instead of keeping piles of separate stacks in chests, you drop resources onto the cabinet, and it converts them into a number you can withdraw from later. Each resource type will be able to hold 1,000,000 of that resource.
What it stores
Ingots, Boards, Leathers, Scales, and so much more.
- Gems
- Granites
- Reagents
- Misc
- Peerless ingredients
- Imbuing materials
If it’s not on the supported list the cabinet rejects it. If a resource is missing during testing, please let me know.
Using it
Storing resources
- Drag & drop a resource stack or filled commodity deed onto the cabinet.
- If it’s supported, the cabinet adds the stack’s Amount to its stored total and deletes the physical stack.
- Want to store only part of a stack? Split the stack first, then drop the amount you want.
Viewing what you have
- Double-click the cabinet to open the gump.
- You can browse by category or use the search box to filter by name.
- Each entry shows an icon and “Stored: ####”.
Withdrawing resources
- Click a resource in the list to open the withdraw screen.
- Choose:
- Withdraw Amount (enter a number), or
- Withdraw All
- The cabinet creates a fresh stack and drops it into your backpack (you must have room).
- May consider adding an option to add larger stacks right into commodity deeds, for the price of a normal commodity deed, if the gold is present and the option to do so is clicked. (not implemented yet)
Access rules / placement
You can use the cabinet when it’s:
- Locked down while having access to it.
- Must be within two tiles.
Benefits of the Resource Storage Cabinet
- Major clutter reduction: your house doesn’t need rows of chests/bags for basic resources.
- Better organization: everything is searchable and categorized in one UI.
- Lower world item count: resource stacks are converted into stored totals inside one item, which reduces the number of loose objects being tracked and loaded.
