Where do you get the most t-maps from?

I have not had much luck in looting t-maps. What do you kill that gets you a decent amount of maps?

I feel it is totally random, but quality of monster improves the map.
Still have a lot of troves to finish when i finally get 100 carto, this reminds me ........

I highly recommend you try for Fel maps, the higher ones can drop 110 scrolls.

I think the key is just to kill lots of mobs. I prefer raptors for this since they're squishy and each one spawns 2 others, but I gather those mostly for the gold and gems as a bonus. I just like to hunt raptors really.

Generally the harder the mob, the higher lvl the map, but that doesn't mean its difficult. I get hoard maps off the white wyrm in Ice, and that thing dies in 2 hits

Quite a few people on OSI complained after the t-hunt 'revamp' that the drop rate on maps seemed to be nerfed, the Devs denied they had changed anything, but the drop rate does seem to be pretty dire now.

I agree, the drop rate seems low to me. I've been hunting the Dragons in Destard for months, farming the leather, and I have not had 1 map drop. Same with the Balrons in the Blood dungeon, not 1 map. That damn pesky RNG again.

Same thing with the Paragon chests, I have yet to pull 1 chest from either a Blood Ellie or Balron in ish.

I get more on OSI plus it seemed like 1 out of every 5ish chests would have a map that was 1 level higher than the one dug up. If I dug a level 2, might contain a level 3 etc. I also got maps out of SOS chests on OSI. 10k chest might have a level 1 (stash), 20k might have a level 2 (supply), and 30k might have a level 3 (cache) on OSI. I think I have looted 4 maps total on Heritage.

I have had 7 or 8 after a LOT of kills (low level ones from ettins/earth ellies and higher ones from the lizardmen) but very oddly I did one evening get THREE maps in a row from lizardmen, now that was just odd, crazy RNG!

Finally pulled a map from a Balron in the Blood dungeon. Still no chests from the Paragons however.

The maps are odd. Hoard is a level 4 map but I got a trove map from a blood elemental and bloods are weaker than balrons.

@Xeno We both know the t-hunt 'revamp' was a disaster and messed things up. People told them all the things they had done badly that needed fixing but they were ignored and it went live as it was.

I will be going through and making sure everything is dropping maps and at the correct level, this weekend.

I will post a master list of what drops what, at that time, and will consider arguments to bump or lower a monster on the list.

On a similar subject should sea serpents be dropping more t-maps than mibs? I just spent 3 days going from 50 to GM fishing and I got a total of 5 serpents that had a t-map, 4 that had a green special fishing net and no mibs at all. I also had 11 delicate scales and 3 white pearls.

It took me a little while but then the MIBs started dropping though maybe a change went in since last week which was the last time I went MIB fishing.

It could just be RNG but i get a lot of t-maps.
I had well over 20, gave like 8 away.
Tried whittling away at some of the others and got 2 or 3 more maps off of the spawn from digging up the chest in the first place.
Just set a t-map to your auto-looter and go hunt like you normally do & after a week or so you'll end up with a fair amount of maps to do.

I give the t-maps to my husband as he made a treasure hunter already, I'm just disappointed I don't get any mibs as I still enjoy doing those. I cancelled my OSI subs after the t-hunt 'revamp' as I hated it so much, so I won't be making a t-hunter here.

What is there not to like? Im curious.. it seems that the loot is better now, than it ever has been, all Tmaps are worth doing now.. when before the low level ones were trash

@Omalley To be honest it was never about the loot for me I just enjoyed doing t-hunts and SOSs as I found them relaxing and not too taxing if I was too tired to do other stuff. One person's fun is another's grind I guess.

@Ancient One how long did it take you to get that many maps?
