Obviously it should not pop up in heat of battle. But tbh if you actually sit in front of screen what the problem to type 3-4 numbers or letters tho?

There is also another way-not allow to 3accounts at same time

Allow only 1account per ip to do events?

Bags are essential for farming hunting etc maybe during event let them not work at event area?

Only characters that can attack you would be your own bots so no worries. Nothing to lose. Unless you're in fel but I don't think that would ever happen... Also captcha is supposed to trigger in pvm not frigging pvp...

Enabling captcha is the only way to prevent bots here. Other than that you can only close client and disable some script functions or have staff bot patrols. None of that is gonna happen here.

Captcha system should be flexible and being able to be enabled everywhere where bots are spotted. Events, some mobs spawns etc. Well made captcha system have no impact on normal players.

But as BBB said, this server is in deep shit and it's well settled there. Dan, you obviously have no clue what to do with heritage for some time now, first saying that you have no clue about future event rewards without pushing power creep and then you gave those damn insane power creep robes... And argument that they are brittle is a ducking joke showing that you have no clue about this game. Brittle 150 dur robe can last you months if not years if maintained on time. And colorado alone bot-farmed probably close to a HUNDRED of them. I don't even want to think how many of them are out there. Those robes are already selling for 500k,thats how common they are. Fixing that hot mess is almost impossible at this point without pissing off those last 5 players that still log in here.

In my opinion Heri should be announced as dead end server and you should get some people who know this game (not only from code side) and sit with them doing a long and careful brainstorm on how to revive heritage from scratch. You still have a reputation of someone who can keep server for online a long time but you really need to start thinking about what players can do on said server and stop worrying about save time which make no difference for people who bot or sit in bank waiting for next event in 6 months.

Thats not captcha that saves you now, thats Trammel. It won't change much for you in the matter of being attacked by players.
As mentioned above, captcha is meant for PvE. If you have ever participated in PvP you would know how easy it is to spot a bot there.

I just wanted to apologize for mentioning CAPTCHA earlier. I realize now that I was wrong - even if it detects a bot, nothing really happens since there are no real consequences like a jail or anything like that. For Dan, throwing someone in jail or giving a ban is the real challenge.

consider add capchta
Consider only one account able to enter events area in future.
Consider maybe some risk like if more than one account enter event area they will be flagged as VVV and attackable for other people.
Do not touch bags again.

Note: im not huge user of those bags but everyone else using them so those should continue to exists

I am down with everything you suggest. When I first started I did not understand the multiple accounts during events. I now have multiple accounts that can do them, but rarely do I use them. I think it's silly to use multiple accounts at one time during seasonal events. I am not going to mention names, but there is a crazy amount of botting going on in this event. I love It when their bots pick up on my char and follow my char around for no reason while I am trying to game by my lonesome.

That's not how captcha works. It doesn't block your movements, it just starts counting down the time. If you don't enter 3 letters within 30 seconds, you are AUTOMATICALLY thrown to jail.

26 years on OSI where there are no advanced assistants with macros and players pay monthly for access to servers, so they are afraid to take risks.

What if bags of sendings didn't exist?

You can block the transfer of gold with bags and allow other items, but in fact it will only work after WIPE.

Let's point out the obvious issue, you can't deliver a message to the client for a captcha which an assistant wouldn't be able to pick up. It would inconvenience someone for 10 minutes while they make a script to read the message
