Question About Heritage Veteran Rewards

Just curious if there is an upcoming "date" or roundabout time when more rewards will be available on Heritage? I've exceeded the 120 shard loyalty on two accounts for the highest rewards, and still have more rewards to claim! I'm wondering about what may be coming next...

We will definitely be expanding and adding new Loyalty categories / time spans.

I'll work on a 150 Shard Loyalty item as well as some lesser useful items in the 90 and 120 categories.

That being said nothing has been thought up yet and I am always open to new and unique ideas.

I don't know how you feel about this, but as a caster I would be wildly in favor of rewards that have SDI in slots where you can't currently get SDI. Like some kind of footwear, a shirt, or a kilt or something.

So the newest addition, after a little more testing, will be a blessed Bag Of Sending.

A Shard Loyalty Bag Of Sending
  • Will be blessed.
  • Can only be recharged a maximum of 500 times, normal bags of sending can only be recharged 255 times, but this counter will display when you mouse over the bag so you know how many recharges you have left.
  • Will be a 90 Shard Loyalty Required item.
For this item I would like some feedback. Is 500 too low? Has anyone hit the max of 255 recharges on a normal bag of sending ever?

I just recently purchased a new BOS from Brosephines vendors due to not being able to recharge my old one. It took about 12 charges of my powder then that was it.. After that I threw it away and bought the new one. So to answer your question, Yes, I have exceeded that amount, and think that 500 may be A "bit " low seeing how it's a reward item. Maybe even having 1000 charges and not letting it be blessed? But make it a 100 shard loyalty item...

If you create a loyalty item like that my suggestion would be:
If the loyalty bag of sending reaches maximum charges it should be able to consume normal bags to replenish its maximum charges (thus giving it permanent blessed utility while still consuming bags of sending / powder of translocation).

Also if casters do receive ssi earrings it would be nice for melee to have an option (di, or hci earrings). However power creep is real, and thats pretty much the only slot without much power (2% to a single resist..) so it's a delicate equipment spot.

Yikes. A loyalty bag of sending with that many charges and only 90 shard loyalty to get it? Absolutely kills my vendor. And you talk about wanting to improve the economy on Heritage? Between not being able to sell gems from solen quests to the NPC's and now this bag, you're taking away all of my incentive to complete solen quests that I enjoyed. You sure you even want me playing here? I'm almost sorry I asked.

Also, this still doesn't do anything as far as my initial question. I'm now exceeding the highest loyalty item (120).There'll be nothing higher than 120 to look forward to?

Brosephine - it would be similar to a standard Bag of Sending (but blessed) and instead of having a lifetime maximum recharge amount of 255 times it would have a lifetime of 500. that's still a maximum of 30 charges at once, and Powder of Translocation would still be used to charge it I imagine. I suggested having it consume regular bags of sending every X lifetime charges as that would still create a sink for the current ones in game - however losing the bags to dying wouldn't happen anymore.
Also shard loyalty of 90 while it's something that will happen eventually is 2160 hours of online time on Heritage. You would literally need to spend 90 full days of time online on the shard before you got the chance to use them. - If that's a real threat to a bag of sending vendor I'm not sure what wouldn't be. I saw the price on the Bags of Sending here and have resorted to gathering them myself =x

Yeah it wouldn't hurt regular bags of sending at all. Your AVG player is under 30 Loyalty, the new bag has a recharge and wear out period, and uses a shard loyalty point to claim. You also can't use unless 90 Shard Loyalty.

As far as higher end items, they are coming but require careful planning. The point is to expand the system across the board not just keep pushing a top tier. When I test and find an appropriate 150 and 170 Shard Loyalty item it will get added. In the mean time 90 and 120 need a few more items.

I still think our most regular players (my customers) are at or close to 90 loyalty and will use the heck out of these new bags. Blessed, so they can't be lost at a spawn or in PvP (very attractive feature), and with more times to recharge so they have to get them less often. I don't know about everyone else, but I have like 5 or 6 rewards I can choose right now. It takes away my incentive to do the sending bag quests even to get bags for myself! Sure, powder quests will still be essential, but I disagree that it won't hurt regular sending bags. It absolutely will with the size of our current population.

I guess I also just really don't understand. Why go this route? Why not more gear?

We ARE adding more gear but in time. We want to also add other items, that have limited uses, so the Shard Loyalty points get used up. Items are going to be added over time, after testing, not crammed in to appease the masses. Gear takes time to make sure it is balanced out.

Each powder you apply counts as 1 recharge, just like on a normal bag. That means for ONE point that took up to 90 days to obtain, you get a bag that can be recharged 16-1/2 times. If anything I see people still using the normal bags but having one of these on them, as a backup, since it is blessed.

If they keep adding gear it's going to get silly fast. The sandals already offer more resists than you can get on any other footwear. What happened to good old vet rewards? Those should be what's given out, not overpowered gear in the first place.

I noticed that my chars start to get notification about the rewards.
Do we have list somewhere :D
Did not manage to find any info on forum except for this topic.
The initial reward looks different than i remember and in the store i noticed something that points the ability to "claim" more rewards.

Good discussion :)

My main acct has a 43 legacy so I get prompted every time I log in to redeem. I'm saving the 1 choice I have for better items at later levels.

My question however is not so much about gear but useful items like a pure white dye tub for example (4 tubs, cloth, leather, metal and wood). Could items like that become available in the future? The legacy bag is a good start.

In my opinion, the soulstone fragment is useless could we make it a full stone?
