Enhanced Client?

Good afternoon. I'd like to try Heritage but I wanted to use the enhanced client. There is a link here about using a connector and the instructions say to patch the enhanced client just like i would if using the classic client. ..so I did that. Then i tried to download and run the connector, but all it seems to have done is uninstall the enhanced client which i just spent all this time patching up. . then it's reinstalling it. Is this what's supposed to be happening? Once I'm fully patched yet again, will the connecter I downloaded do something different and allow me to connect? Thanks in advance.

This does not delete anything.

Once you download and patch the EC then exit out of it and download and run this application. All it does is remove encryption.

Also double check your anti-virus and see if it's quarantining it. The connector does not have the ability of privileges to remove anything.

When I click this:


The only thing it downloads is the enhanced client setup exe file:


Running that just wants to uninstall/install the enhanced client over and over.
I checked my antivirus and nothing is getting quarantined. I think the Client Connecter link is just incorrectly linked to the enhanced client setup.exe instead of the actual connector software possibly.

Are you clicking this link and then the green download button? I just tested and it downloaded the custom client connector.

You just seem to be running the original installer you downloaded from EA over and over.

Ohh, nope, I was just clicking the TrueUO Enhanced Client Connector hyperlink. I didn't even notice the green download button. I just clicked that and it did download something else. I'll probably be good from here. Much appreciated, thank you! I would suggest fixing that hyperlink though.

You just seem to be running the original installer you downloaded from EA over and over.

I was just selecting your hyperlink, your hyperlink was downloading the enhanced client setup.exe instead of the connector.
