Do not store Clean Up Brit points on the Cleanup Point Exchange, as they will be removed on or around January 1, 2026. You can continue to use the exchange before 1/1/2026. However, any points stored on deposit after that date will be inaccessible.
At that time, Clean Up Brit points will become an ACCOUNT-based currency. Not a CHARACTER-based one.
Example of how the new system will work:
- Character A trashes items worth 10 points.
- Account CUB balance is now at 10 points
- Character B trashes items worth 15 points
- Account CUB balance is now at 25 points
- Character C can just go to the CUB reward vendor and use those 25 points. No need to transfer between characters.
There will be one cycle of maintenance, at a later date, where all the characters on an account will have their CUB points added and moved to one single account holder. Once that happens, all newly obtained points will be stored directly on the account, and the CUB reward vendor will use this account storage from that point on.
After the successful migration of that point system, from a character-based point system to an account-based point system, I will be looking at other systems that could benefit from this.
